Ok, so after coming across that random dog transformer USB flash drive, I decided to do a little more perusing through that site. There is some pretty awful stuff, and I am pretty sure anything that looks like it should be licensed, is not. But with that said, there are some damned great flash drives on there.

Top Ten USB Flash Drives

1. SpongeBob Squarepants

What really needs to be said about a whacked out talking cartoon sea sponge?

2. Beer and Pop Cans

Beer has given you so much over the years. Now, why not let it help you out by storing the names and numbers of the randoms you hooked up with while in a beer induced drunken stupor?

3. Poker Chip

Nothing says <del>degenerate gambler</del>...er poker fan quite like a poker chip flash drive.

4. Bracelets

Ok, this one isn’t really funny, and bracelets aren’t cool. But our boy A.C. Slater showed us that the right accessory makes all the difference. Plus they seem like a cool idea for kids, teachers or any group that tends to share a lot of files or information.

5. Fingers

Nothing gives you that warm and fuzzy “ET phone home” feeling like a finger sticking out of your computer.

6. Sushi

A little something for the pretentious foodie in your life.

7. Ice cream bars

After years of being told not to jam food into the VCR, we finally get our revenge with an ice cream bar we can jam into our computers. Take that mom!

<img src="http://img.alibaba.com/wsphoto/v0/500770631/Free-Shipping-Cartoon-ice-cream-computer-USB-Flash-Drive-1G-2G-4G-8G-16G-USB-2.summ.jpg" alt="Free Shipping!
8. Guns

Nothing says, “Go ahead. Make. My. Day” in as classy a fashion as being threatened by a flash drive gun.

9. Bullets

And what is a gun, without its bullets. This one I might consider leaving at home when travelling. I’m not sure the security screener at the airport will think its quite as nifty as you might.

10.Papa Smurt

Papa Smurf was straight up bad ass. He was the John Shaft of tiny blue people.

<img src="http://img.alibaba.com/wsphoto/v4/489130601_1/New-arrival-Free-shipping-Free-boxes-The-Smurfs-Rubber-USB-flash-drive-1GB-2GB-4GB-8GB.summ.jpg" alt="New arrival!
Not going to lie, if it didn’t rain so much around here and the cabin wasn’t fully surrounded by giant cedar trees, I would totally try to make one of these to offset the stupid cost of electricity in Point Roberts. Maybe I can make a portable one that can charge an iPhone, iPad or laptop on the boat. Hmm….PROJECT!

Here we are again, another two weeks down and a photo update for those who care to see them. Week 8 was a bit strange. It came after a week that was pretty unsuccessful, and to cap it off I ended up down for the count with that cold that is going around so after Monday, I didn’t make it to the gym. Yes, feeling much better now, thanks for asking. Actually looking forward to getting back to the gym tomorrow and getting this ship sailing full steam ahead again.

And many of you already saw this next picture, but I thought it was pretty cool and did a great job of showing progress from start through the end of two months. One month left on the challenge I guess, but alas, my stint with Body For Life won’t be ending then. The goal is under 200 lbs and I am not stopping until I am there. Come to think of it, I doubt I am stopping then either. Doesn’t make a lot of sense to effect such changes in lifestyle only to revert back to shit. Although, I may mix in a few more grilled cheese sammiches now and again!

So last weekend I didn’t bother to do my weekly update. Bad, I know, part of all of this is the new habits but really the week blew. Actually, it was just the end of week 7 that got to me, briefly. Anyhow, here is what happened.

About Wednesday I decided, “Hey, I’m down 20 lbs, my clothes aren’t fitting, I should go pick up a few things that fit well and look swell.” So that is what I did. The only problem was that NOTHING fit. I mean, size Large was too small and ripping at the shoulders and arms and a bit tight on the tummy and size Extra Large fit like a goddamn pup tent. Neither one encouraging, and neither one flattering. It drove me nuts. How vain is that? Here I am, down 20lbs, feeling better than I have in ages, looking better than I have in ages and I get pissy and knocked off track by something as stupid as clothes not fitting.

As stupid as that sounds, and as embarassing as it is to admit it, it’s what happened. So I ended up eating pretty shitty an extra day or two and ended week 7 the same place that I started it at 221 lbs. On the plus side, that was more than enough to get me fired up get to things right back on the rails in a hurry on Sunday and on to what wound up being a much more successful week 8.

Here we are again. The halfway point of the Body For Life Challenge down,6 more weeks to go. This week marked a pretty great milestone. Not only the halfway point, but also, the 20lb mark. Pretty exciting really. Six weeks, 20 lbs. Six weeks to go, 20 lbs more to goal. I am figuring the weight will start to come off slower from here on out so I may have to add a few weeks to the challenge to hit 200. I am ok with that, and I will get there.

So without further ado, here are this week’s stats, and as promised, my every other week pictures. I will include each previous set of pictures(as much as I don’t want to keep posting Week 0) when I do this so we can see a frame of reference.

Starting weight week 0: 241 lbs

Starting weight week 2: 225

Ending weight: 221 lbs

Days at the gym: 6

Unapproved Meals (free day excluded): 0

Day 1 Photos

<img title="Day 1. Body For Life Before. Side" src="../wp-content/uploads/2011/01/IMG_1651-129x300.jpg" alt="Body For Life Before.
Day 14 Photos

Day 30 Photos

Day 42

Starting to see some pretty drastic changes when you look from week 0 pictures to week 6. Amazing really. My biggest problem now is clothes. Shirts fit like crap, look like pup tents, and pants don’t like to stay up. A good problem to have, but I am not running out to buy new clothes with 6 weeks and 20 more lbs to go. Get used to seeing me in ill fitting clothes for a while. See you at the gym!

Here we are again. Another week of Body For Life down, 8 more to go. Today, however, is a bit of a milestone. Here we find ourselves at the one month mark. Sounds so much shorter to say 1 month down and 2 more to go than 4 weeks down and 8 more to go. But I digress.

Unfortunately, no further weight loss this week. No gain, but no loss either. I chalk it up to an overly indulgent free day which I will be remedying. The thing with free day is I eat too much and then feel like total crap. Not mentally, just physically. I am thinking what I need to do is not indulge to my fullest capacities, but try and keep the more frequent small meals going, but inserting a few of my past week’s cravings into it. Sort of a hybrid day. Also, while I didn’t lose any weight this week, I think my body composition continues to change significantly. I can look and see drastic changes from man boobs and arm sags, to some semblance of muscle tone. That in itself is as big of a win as dropping a pound or two.

So without further ado, here are this week’s stats, and as promised, my every other week pictures. I will include each previous set of pictures(as much as I don’t want to keep posting Week 0) when I do this so we can see a frame of reference.

Many people ask me “So what the hell can you eat on this thing? Is it some super strict diet?” My answer is always the same. Body For Life isn’t really a super strict diet. It is not some gimmicky thing where I can only eat some special soup for 3 months. It is really quite basic and what it comes down to is unlearning and relearning some basic eating habits. It really is just eating sensible meals, in smaller portions, more often. 5-6 times every 2-3 hours to be exact to kick the metabolism into gear and keep it going. Here is a typical day’s eating.

And that is about the size of it. Six small meals a day. Some tasty, some less so but no hunger. Don’t forget you water. Lots and lots of water. See you at the gym!

So here we are at week 3, day 21 of 84. Another successful week on Body For Life. I managed to temp myself again with a fully catered suite at the Canucks game on Wednesday but came away unscathed. Once again no beer, no pizza, no hot dogs, not popcorn. And it was FREE! I was also out at Seahorse Grill in Crescent Beach for a birthday dinner last night. It smelled great, and everyone seemed to enjoy it, but again I did not partake. I was just there for the company. Had another hockey game myself on Friday night as well and the cardio is definitely making a huge difference in my game.

Anyhow, down another 3 lbs even after an All You Can Eat BBQ extravaganza for Super Bowl. So without further ado, here are this week’s stats:

Starting weight week 0: 241 lbs

Starting weight week 3: 230 lbs

Ending weight: 227 lbs

Days at the gym: 6

Unapproved Meals (free day excluded): 0
