Recap: Week 6 Body For Life

Written By: Marc McPherson on March 6, 2011 9 Comments

Here we are again. The halfway point of the Body For Life Challenge down,6 more weeks to go. This week marked a pretty great milestone. Not only the halfway point, but also, the 20lb mark. Pretty exciting really. Six weeks, 20 lbs. Six weeks to go, 20 lbs more to goal. I am figuring the weight will start to come off slower from here on out so I may have to add a few weeks to the challenge to hit 200. I am ok with that, and I will get there.

So without further ado, here are this week’s stats, and as promised, my every other week pictures. I will include each previous set of pictures(as much as I don’t want to keep posting Week 0) when I do this so we can see a frame of reference.

  • Starting weight week 0: 241 lbs
  • Starting weight week 2: 225
  • Ending weight: 221 lbs
  • Days at the gym: 6
  • Unapproved Meals (free day excluded): 0

Starting to see some pretty drastic changes when you look from week 0 pictures to week 6. Amazing really. My biggest problem now is clothes. Shirts fit like crap, look like pup tents, and pants don’t like to stay up. A good problem to have, but I am not running out to buy new clothes with 6 weeks and 20 more lbs to go. Get used to seeing me in ill fitting clothes for a while. See you at the gym!

Thanks Susan. Working on it and slowly plugging along. Now I need a vacation to get some color on that ghostly skin!

That’s a massive change. Well done. Pretty inspiring!

The weight-loser’s clothing secret is Value Village. Great place to get a temporary wardrobe for $5-6 a piece. :)

Also — you’re whiter but less red! That’s because you’ve cut out all the inflammatory food you used to eat. Really inspiring, Marc, and reminds me how much work I put in to lose my weigh back in ’08-09, and why I need to do that shit again. Thanks. Keep it up.

Thanks Steff. Plugging along. I am not sure what the less red thing is all about but sounds like its not a bad thing! I will check out the temporary wardrobe one of these days.

Thanks Shane. It actually hasn’t been as tough to stick with as I had thought it would be. Although I do miss out on Scotch Meetups in the interim.

Thanks Brad. Halfway through in both time and target. Pretty certain I will get there this time.
